We were shocked to view full length flattering documentary on Rajiv by RAYAT TV today, May 31, 2008.
Here is our feedback to them.

COMMENT SENT TO RAYAT TV. 31.05.08 posted on

today you devoted much time to BOFORS CHOR raising the King of Corruption sky high. I found this blind adoration of ONE dynasty in BROKEN Bharat (Partitioned Indian Secular State) disgusting.

You never mentioend that his grandfather signed the UNCONDITIONAL surrender of five provinces in 1947 for which he had to be shot dead like Mussolini.

You never mentioned that his mother returned EAST Bengal after capturing it while letting the enemy keep North Kashmir.

You showed the Son of Feroze Khan (Rajiv) with oversized sacred TILAK who embraced Catholicism, finally being cremated, not buried like his father, for deception.

You think it is democracy where even grandson can jump from cockpit to mother's chair.

Indian "COOLIE" media is making MORONS out of the brainwashed Hindus being bashed at home while exterminated in Lahore, Dhaka and Kashmir.

Please DISCOVER some HINDU patriots, like Subhash Bose, to inspire the defeated & bashed Hindus who finance you.

Do give full biography of that brave TAMIL GODDESS who sacrificed her own life to despatch Gandhi No. 3 to rid Bharat of dirty dynasty.

Media must serve the nation as they do in the West.

What is left of India is a HINDU nation after Lahore & Dhaka were snatched by MOHAMMED. Secularism is bogus in Delhi if not imposed in Lahore.

Hindus are now being prepared to accept Rahul & Priyenka, the Indo/Italian mongrel "aulaad" of Rajiv even when they are not Hindu.

Please mention the HIGH TREASON of Nehru and COWARDICE of Bapu in collapsing before ISLAM in 1947 that left India MINUS Lahore and the Hindus robbed of self esteem.

Rajiv never said, "BROWN IS BEAUTIFUL," having preferred foreigner to the indigenous. Did he not degrade all native females?

Mr. Clean was Mr DIRTY after Bofors. He ushered in the new era of rampant corruption. He could have established at least one university of the standard of Cambridge where his own children could study. He did intimidate the press like his mother.

You did not mention how he treated the Sikhs after his mother's assassination. For that alone he deserved the bomb that blasted him seven years later.

Below is a video link of brilliant talk on Rama Sethu and its relevance to the what is happening to Hinduism, delivered by Dr. Subramanian Swamy during his recent visit to US when he released his book on Rama Sethu.

Every Indian must watch this. For those who may not know, it is Dr. Swamy's brilliant arguments in Supreme Court that blocked destruction of Rama Sethu.

Listen to how Dr. Swamy, who is an economist and not a lawyer, relate how he argued for 8 hours at a stretch with Supreme Court justices and successfully convinced them to stop destruction of Rama Sethu. Listen to why he took up this case because he clearly saw it as another example of undermining Hindu society. Hear about the gross corruption involved, total lack of values and simple decency in the leaders of current government.

(Note: This is link to play list and all the parts will be automatically played)

Rama Sethu book can be ordered from Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation at 908-244-3258.

Synopsis of the lecture
(High level summary)

Dr. Swamy started with introductory remarks to show Rama Sethu matter in perspective. He got interested in the problems Hindu Society is facing after Kanchi Sankaracharya was arrested on foisted charges and jailed like a common criminal, for which Supreme Court of India found no prima facie charges. It brought his attention to the forces that are working to undermine Hindu Society by making them feel impotent and inferior. As he looked around, he found the same way the Hindu society targeted in several areas. Whether it is the terrorism where Hindus and Hindu temples are targeted and claimed the number of lives next to Iraq in last 4 years, large scale religious conversions of Hindus, rubbishing of Hinduism in history books in India,

He explains how Hindus who constitute large percentage can be under sieze. He gave example how numbers do not matter, because thousands of goats can be made to run for life by one tiger. Strength or capacity does not matter, because a thin whip master in circus can make powerful lions obey him. The problem he says is lack of Hindu mindset. What is happening today is mental subversion, unlike physical brutalities of Islamic invasions of the past. He says he took up Rama Sethu because it is just another example of the way Hindu society is being targeted in subtle psychological way.

What does he mean by Hindu Mind set? He goes on, it is not about doing Pujas or celebrating Diwali only. It is the corporate psychology that is needed. When 500,000 Hindus were driven out Kashmir by Islamic terrorists and living in squalid camps since 1989, we need to feel annoyed, upset and take action. We worry about one Masjid broken, every day Hindu temples are broken in Kashmir and outside India like Malayasia. When Hindus and Hindu temples are targeted by terrorists, we need to stand up against it.

What are forces against Hinduism? He gave examples of Christian fundamentalist Pat Robertson openly declaring that he would convert 100 millions to Christianity. Money does not matter. He gave example of christian CM of Andhra Pradesh YSR. As for Islam, he says they are more clearer than Christian fundamentalists in their objective. He explained how the Islamic scriptures (Koran, Sira and Hadith) drive the behavior of Islamists and how Islam sanctions terrorism. He showed it is not just in Kashmir where Hindus are targeted, it is happening in district level in India. He detailed how in every single Panchayat in Tamilnadu (40 of them) where Muslims gained majority, they stopped providing civic services such as water, school, garbage cleanup to Hindus for last 10 years with notices in Urdu that they need to convert to get those services. Failing which, they destroyed their agriculture by directing the water from their tanneries into their fields. He related how he successfully fought this in High Court of Tamilnadu that ordered Governor to take action. He explained the concepts of Dar-Ul-Harab and Dar-Ul-Islam, where this mentality comes from.

However, he does not blame Islam or Christian fundamentalists. He says they are clear in their mind what they want to do and they go about doing it. But it is Hindu who are confused about what he(or she) is and what to do. That confusion he was trying to remove by placing the whole conspiracy behind destruction of Rama Sethu.

Having given this perspective he goes about the Rama Sethu's significance in our history. He detailed how there were committees since 1860, nine of them before independence and six after the independence and not a single committee ever recommended the route that destroys Rama Sethu. How the current Government took on its own to destroy at the behest of Karunanidhi and his chela Baalu. Why so many alternative routes not considered and why every clearance required by law was simply ignored? Why the precedent where Governments in India always changed project plans in order not to hurt religious sentiments would not be followed in finding alternative to the proposed route that would hurt the sentiments of one billion Hindus (e.g, Government in 2001 rerouted Delhi Metro at cost of 500 crores and delay of 1 year, because of simple complaint from a Muslim NGO that the Metro route can cause cracks to three graves near Qutub Minar)? Why did the Government ignore 35 Lakhs verifiable signatures requesting not to destroy Rama Sethu and the protest of 5 lakh people? The same Government that will bend backwards for even slightest dissent from their vote banks, has decidedly chosen the path of breaking the back of Hindu society.

He showed with detailed calculations how it is the greatest economic disaster and the only beneficiaries are TR Baalu who owns the shipping company with ships of the size that can go thro' the proposed route thro' Rama Sethu and his son who has company that needs to clear the sand that will be thrown by sea into the dredged area every year, worth multiple crores.

Listen to the talk to become aware of the extent of corruption, debasement of our current political leaders and the conspiracy going on to destroy Hinduism from India. Listen to how he brilliantly argued with justices with wit and humor and made the defense counsel eat their words. Hear the options he has to offer to revive Hindu society and create a stronger India.

Dr. Swamy's book on Rama Sethu also provides all the details. Rama Sethu book can be ordered from Kanchi Kamakoti Seva Foundation at 908-244-3258.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you
might not get them back. Sometimes we get so busy with
our own lives and problems that we may not even notice
that we've let them fly away. Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's
wrong that we forget what's right and wrong. Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship
means until it is too late.
Send this to all your friends and see how many you get
back. Even send it to your balloons -- the ones you think have flown away forever. You may be surprised to see them return.

Real peace will arise spontaneously
When your mind becomes free
Of attachments,
When you know that the objects of the world
Can never give you what you really want.

Why Kaveri wears saffron
28 May 2008, 1943 hrs IST,Tarun Vijay,flstry-1.cms

The saffron Karnataka wears is aglow with the sacrifices of the anonymous workers who lived with a reason, for a cause. Who sowed saffron in Karnataka's soil – like Yadav Rao Joshi, H V Seshadri, Suryanarain Rao, often going to sleep on an empty stomach but worked day and night to spread the message of a strong nationalism, motherland first and foremost. Everything else was secondary.

When Seshadri breathed his last, he was listening to the Sangh prayer – namaste sada vatsale matribhume (Salutations to thee, O beloved motherland...) But Vidhan Saudha was never on their radar of achievements. Their mission was and remains a total transformation of society into a proud, strong, self-reliant, knowledge reservoir with character which would lead Bharat, which is India, into the highest ranks of the comity of nations. Political power is just one small step in that direction.

The people who remember their past have a future. The saffron we see blooming in the South is powered with the ideas of a man whose birth anniversary would largely go unnoticed today. Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was the name of the man who shook Hindus from their lethargic and self-demeaning attitude and who put the word Hindutva in vogue.

I remember Madhumangal Sharma who was killed while reading a book by Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya in his Imphal house. The day bullets pierced his heart, through the book, happened to be 11th February, 1995. It was also the martyrdom day of the author he liked most, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, who was murdered mysteriously on 11th Feb 1968 on a moving train.

One could wonder in these times of extreme parochialism why a Manipuri in Imphal would be reading a book by a northerner? The same Manipur has banned all books of Hindi writers, Hindi movies, and finally the national anthem now.

The martyrdom of Pt Upadhyaya and Madhumangal and many others for a cause energised a collective will to bring change in polity. That's what nationalism is all about. Different parts, one body. There are youngsters who still have the courage to stand for a broader, Indian nationalism in Manipur facing foreign-funded extremists who have otherwise succeeded in silencing all other voices reflecting Indianness.

What makes them brave the bullets? Love for motherland, and that's saffron unquestioningly.

Shyama Prasad Mookerjee was born in Bengal and became the youngest ever vice-chancellor of Calcutta University at the age of 33. He was a close friend of Kaji Nazrul Islam, helped him when he needed most, was a part of the family of Rabindranath Tagore, became a legendary figure in his life time, inherited a legacy Bengal is justifiably proud of, and he died for Kashmir. His mysterious “death” in the jail of Sheikh Abdullah, in Srinagar on 23rd June 1953 raised questions that are still unanswered. The only reason for his untimely death was his demand that Kashmir be assimilated in India like any other state. And there should not be two flags, two constitutional provisions and two heads in relation to Kashmir. He was arrested for entering the valley without a permit, in his own country and jailed where he met a sudden death.

Mookerjee’s mother, Jogmaya Devi wrote to Nehru on 4 July 1953: “His death is shrouded in mystery. Is it not most astounding and shocking that ever since his detention there, the first information that I, his mother, received from the government of Kashmir was that my son was 'no more', and that also at least two hours after the end? And in what a cruel, cryptic way the message was conveyed! '. A fearless son of free India has met his death while 'in detention without trial' under most tragic and mysterious circumstances. I, the mother of the great departed soul, demand that an absolutely impartial and open enquiry by independent and competent persons be held without any delay. I know nothing can bring back to us the life that is no more. But I do want that the people of India must judge for themselves, the real causes of this great tragedy enacted in a free country and the part that was played by your government.”

Nehru gave a short reply on 5 July 1953: “l did not venture to write to you before without going into the matter of Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee's detention and death fairly carefully. I have since enquired further into it from a number of persons who had occasion to know 'some facts'. I can only say to you that I arrived at the clear and honest conclusion that there is no mystery in this and that Dr Mookerjee was given every consideration.”

This was really rude and Jogmaya Devi replied on 9th July, 1953: “Your letter dated 5th July reached me on the 7th. It is a sad commentary on the whole situation. Instead of helping to clear up the mystery, your attitude deepens it (further). I demanded an open enquiry. I did not ask 'for your clear and honest conclusion'. Your reaction to the whole affair is now well known. The people of India and I, the mother, have got to be convinced. There is a rooted suspicion in the mind of many. What is required is 'an open, impartial, immediate enquiry'.

'Your experience in jails is known to all. It was at one time a matter of great national pride with us. But you had suffered imprisonment under an alien rule and my son has met his death in detention without trial under a national government. It is futile to address you further. You are afraid to face facts. I hold the Kashmir government responsible for the death of my son. I accuse your government of complicity in the matter.”

Nehru never cared to reply.

Shyama Prasad's martyrdom too has added to the saffron we see in Karnataka.

The Kothari brothers and others who died facing brutal police repression in Ayodhya during their satyagraha to demand a Ram Temple in 1990 is a scar on India's body that would hardly be forgotten. The other side of the secular Talibanism creates ghettoes of Gulags and Siberia-ism for votebank politics. Hasn't the accumulated angst against these discriminations fuelled a change in the Indian political scene? Remember the best of Indian soldiers, editors and actors like Gen Candeth, Gen. Jacob, Girilal Jain and Victor Banerjee joined the saffron side in the aftermath of Ayodhya. And who were those who died demanding a ban on cow slaughter? Were they simply an expendable crowd of illiterate, empty-headed buffoons, trampling on other's rights in times when editors love to write about restaurants serving the most tasty beef?

Those teachers and truck drivers and auto-rickshaw owners who were killed in Kannur and Palakad just for wearing saffron have also contributed to the Karnataka victory.

And those hundreds of highly qualified selfless workers who lived and died anonymously for seeing saffron bloom, did help in paving the way for the leaders who rule today with a broad smile on their faces, though they never aspired to work for a political fortune.

Who were those workers who dedicated their lives for a cause that would never provide them comfort or fame? What was that magic bond that bound them in a solidarity that would not be shaken under any circumstances. They first fought the British, then the Communists and their political mates in Congress and progressed astoundingly well in spite of a collective media assault and opposition that would surpass every logic and sense of balance. Today the saffron brotherhood is running the largest number of successful schools, has the highest number of service projects in slums and tribal areas across the country from Port Blair to Leh and Naharlagun to the Nilgiris, runs centres to train Scheduled Caste youths as priests and computer engineers and provides the nation the sinews it needs during any crisis. None will see these elements of fire and light but will only comment frivolously on the electoral underpinnings and caste-religion equations. The saffron we see blooming over the Vidhan Saudha in Bangalore is the result of a collective will engulfing the grand Indian picture we worship as mother incarnate.

Those who occupy the plush chairs inside must remember this and the responsibility that comes along with wearing colour. The land of Hampi and Basaveshwara and Kanak Dasa wants to see that the polluted Kaveri (Cauvery) of public administration, behavior and accountability be cleaned and Sanskrit and Sanskriti (culture) flowers unhindered. Always remember why Hampi was razed and for whom. Should the children of that past forget their ancestors and get glued to elements that negate the fragrance of the land?
Karnataka results have defied the pettiness of the polity we had been witnessing over water sharing and language–regional conflicts and have proved that merger with the nationalist cause is worthier than asserting parochial and smaller identities. It's also a verdict against hate and ideological apartheid.

Media with seculars of the red variety have turned saffron into a term of abuse and derided its use as if belonging to saffron is a sin. Today with Karnataka, saffron rules over seven states on its own. The red smart seculars, self-obsessed “upholders” of the peace marches and candle-burning rituals for Afzals and betrayers of faith, find themselves completely marginalized and shrunk. Naturally so. As the grand Indian vision expands, the myopic market managers of Marx and Macs will have to squeeze into a smaller space.

I have always maintained that the hate factor in Indian politics is a contribution of the left and alien thought processes. Swami Dayananda fiercely attacked the practice of idol worship among Hindus but he was accommodated and respected, not turned into an outcaste and fatwa-ed to death. Guru Nanak and Kabir criticized ritualism and the blind faith prevalent among influential Hindus. But they were revered and adored. Hate and animosity on the basis of beliefs is alien to Hindus and was introduced by those who are inherently intolerant to the different viewpoint.

There is no reason for the hate between various political parties in India – after all they all swear to work for the good of India and Indians. The polity must play on the foundation of a pan-Indian vision. Programmes may differ but the fragmentisation must come to an end giving way to fraternisation. Seculars have so far invested their pride in being backward, most backward and other backwards. Yet they call themselves as most progressives. See what's happening in Rajasthan. A matter of pride?

It's the dharma of all Indian political organisations to see that India prospers and doesn't fall prey to divisive and mutually hateful policies to nurse vote banks. The nation must stand taller than the South Blocked ambitions.

A small tourist hotel was all abuzz about an afternoon wedding where the groom was 95 and the bride was 23. The groom looked pretty feeble and the feeling was that the wedding night might kill him, because his bride was a healthy, vivacious young woman.

But lo and behold, the next morning, the bride came down the main staircase slowly, step by step, hanging onto the banister for dear life.

She finally managed to get to the counter of the little shop in the hotel. The clerk looked really concerned, "Whatever happened to you, honey? You look like you've been wrestling an alligator!"

The bride groaned, hung on to the counter and managed to speak,

"Ohhh God! He told me he'd been saving up for 75 years, and I thought he meant his money!!"

Amma - The Ultimate Target of CPM
26/05/2008 15:59:00 HK

It is learnt that the ultimate target of violence unleashed by the LDF and its affiliated organizations is the Matha Amruthanandamayi Devi Math. The real intention of the LDF Govt. is not to rein in the fraud spiritual leaders and their centres but to curb the spiritual wave sweeping Kerala in particular and India in general.

This hidden agenda is skilfully executed with the full knowledge of the CPM leadership. The 'Hunt for Godmen' operation being implemented as part of the second anniversary celebrations of the LDF government is leading to an anarchy in the state.

Inorder to give an impression of fairness the government has also started a few bogus enquiries against some Christian healing centres while they attack dozens of ashrams with Hindu background. This action of CPM is based on their assessment that the expanding Hindu spiritual awareness is a big threat to the growth of communist ideology in the state. So they calculate that it is imperative to crackdown the Hindu spiritual leaders and ashrams in the state.

But they know that a direct attack on the spiritual institutions is detrimental and counterproductive. So they fine tuned a strategy to attack the fraudsters first along with a heightened propaganda to destroy credibility of all Hindu acharyas and spiritual leaders in the state. The media knowingly or unknowingly are playing a big part in the CPM propaganda in creating an environment of distrust and suspicion among devotees towards Hindu spiritual centres.

The episode in this script being played out is to use DYFI to lead protest marches and to attack ashrams and Mutts and destroy their property. They are resorting to the attack spree in the full view of the police who are responsible to guard proper law and order situation in the state

Now in Kerala anybody can trespass into any ashram and destroy all assets by holding a red flag in his hand. However people with a spiritual bend of mind have started realizing the danger and have begun to come together to protest this heinous act. This has also lead to incidents of violence at some places. In the coming days it might spread to the other areas and might result in total anarchy and lawlessness in the state.

Initially people supported the move of the government thinking that it is only against fraudsters irrespective of religion. But soon people realized the discrimination of DYFI and the police towards the Hindu community and started venting their hurt feelings.

The main targets of CPM are the spiritual leaders like Matha Amruthanandamayi Devi, and Sri Sri Ravishankar who are playing a lead role in the spiritual renaissance of Kerala. Among them Matha Amruthanandamayi Devi is perceived as the biggest threat by the CPM .It is because of the huge charitable activities undertaken by the Mutt and its acceptance among the people which is causing erosion in the party base.

Another reason that is worrying CPM is the fact that Amma's head office is in Kerala. Although CPM had initiated indirect attacks against Amma's Mutt long ago, they were waiting for an appropriate moment for a direct attack. CPM had made a big controversy when AK Antony, the then Chief Minister visited Amma to seek blessings. Verbal attacks against Amma became a routine agenda in all conferences of DYFI since then.

The secret agenda of CPM is becoming more and more obvious. The DYFI leader has publicly demanded in a press conference that all activities of Amruthanandamayi Mutt should be investigated. Moreover the CPM mouth piece Deshabhimani has also joined the chorus .In an article titled 'Amruthanandamayi Mutt: The Biggest Recipient of Foreign Funds', Deshabhimani has come up with several baseless allegations against the Mutt.

Jyeshtha Krishna Ashthami, Vikram Samvat 2065, Mangalvar

God is ever present, equally in all. No one is an enemy or a friend. "Samoham sarva bhuteshu" We are naturally established in this state of Supreme Consciousness (God). God is equally present in the body, the mind, the wealth, the things etc. Wherever God is, there become established in Him. Leave desire for activity and objects. Replace activity with tranquility and objects with God and become still - repose. This is a supreme spiritual practice.

God is capable of destroying all our natural tendencies (vritis). Only that which is destructible, can be destroyed. No activity can reach God. There is only joy and peace in Him. With a true heart, take refuge in God. Surrender at His lotus feet. Taking refuge is the best of all spiritual practices. God is mine and I am His. "Ishvar ansh jeev avinashi..." "I am a part of God. There is nothing but joy. God has called this "Sarva guhyatam."

The embodied soul (jeev) has never been portrayed as independent. It has always been called an heir, the inheritance, a part of God "ishvar ansh". We are naturally related to God. Therefore leave all beliefs aside. Simply accept " IS". "Mere toh Giridhar Gopal" God is mine and I am His. There is no one else. This is the Truth. "Sarva dharmaan parityajya, maamekum sharanam vraj.."

In giving happiness to others it seems like effort, but it is a very great thing. But there should be exclusive dependence on only God. "Ek aasaro ek bal ek aas vishwaas." This is such an amazing discovery. "Sarva guhyatam". The very best of all spiritual practices. Gita has said that taking refuge in God is the best of all. Unfortunately, our attention does not go towards this point. There is no other spiritual practice like this. People do not know about this. In fact these points are also being revealed to us because of God's grace. Some know of this, but have no experience of it. Some have experience, but are unable to practice accordingly. It is God's eternal promise "paramam vachan" It is divine "alaukik" grace of God. Best of all secrets "Sarva guhyatam" has comes only once in the entire Gita. Therefore with a true heart, become engaged in God.

Wherever you are, there God IS. Simply your attention needs to be on God (Supreme Consciousness). There is no where to go, nothing to do. Therefore call out to Him. It is the best of all. Oh Lord, my very own God ! Let your attention now be on Him ! Realize Him ! Taking refuge in Him, become worriless, fearless, free of doubts and free of all yearnings. This is the Truth!

Karnataka Assembly Polls Shall Establishes BJP In Office But The Congress Spokesperson Mr. Minister Kapil Sibbal Is Not Accepting The Failure Of Congress Performance. Warning To Congress, Stop Calling The People Communal. Respect The Mandate By Welcome- By P Eng Suraj Singh

The statement by Kapil that Congress & BJP got equal % of votes suggests that the Congress lost the votes due to division among the secular parties. According to Kapil Sibbal BJP got the non secular votes. All the voters who voted for BJP are non secular or communal. Thanks Mr. Kapil. All voters in Bharat who are going to vote against the Congress shall be termed communal. Very excellent definition of secularism by a leading lawyer & the honorable minister of Bharat Sarkar.

Mr. Kapil Sibbal, awaken & let the UPA / Congress accept the problems the nation has been facing rather than designating the public as communal. The fact is that the first communal party in Bharat is Congress who backed the British even to respire. The Congress eliminated from the history books the slaughter of 80 million Hindus by Muslims @ one lakh per day that is the hard fact but available nowhere. Congress has been responsible for the Bharat division to Pakistan as well as retaining crores of Muslims in Bharat.

The Congress should respect the citizens & stop calling the Hindus as Communal for the sake of Muslims. Should the Congress continue talking this senseless term, the Congress shall be eliminated gradually by Hindus. Congress should go to the refuge of Ram. This is the public warning to Congress to conduct properly according to the Constitution. All the people abide by the Constitution & therefore, cannot be designated as Communal without any cognizance of the crime.

Subject: Fwd: Obama

A Black Columnist on Obama

Ken Blackwell - Columnist for the New York Sun

It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first front-
running freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first.

We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender.

Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies
and his politics.

The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him.

Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's
the next George McGovern. And it's time people learned the facts.

Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate.

He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record. Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost.

Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant.. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But let's look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial 'beauty..'

Start with national security, since the president's most important duties
are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel
and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s.

Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks. Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk.

Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system
is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no
one imagined a generation ago.

Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on 'the rich..' How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes.

His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, 'All praise and glory to God!' but says that
Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have 'hijacked' - hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois , he refused to vote against a statewide ban - ban - on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood , and San Francisco values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election.
Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if
people don't start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches.

His vision of 'bringing America together' means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning
any conflicting beliefs.

But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they're talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama's radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton.

It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.

Kind of scary, wouldn't you think

According to The Book of Revelations the anti-christ is:

The anti-christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything. Is it OBAMA??

I STRONGLY URGE each one of you to repost this as many times as you can! Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend or media it!

If you think I am crazy,. I'm sorry but I refuse to take a chance on the 'unknown' candidate.

Subject: [gita-talk] Multitude and singularity of the MIND, (CONSCIOUSNESS?).

I have watched brilliant men, arguing over the origins of the
universe on TV.
People getting tangled up with what was before. And how nature is a
ware zone.
A technical technique I have used called Lissajous, will reveal one
frequency among a multitude, simply by using the right reference. I
think using the right reference can expose among the dross the TRUTH.
I don't believe modern western thinking will get there, unless
courage is shown in the understanding that the intellect is a very
long road.
I am trying to be introspective, not intellectual.
There is a question here, something to do with multitude and
singularity of the MIND, (CONSCIOUSNESS?).

Any insights based on the Gita ?

Yours in respect,

> Just like at present, this hall is illumed by the sun light, and
in this light there is no coming and going. This light is naturally
present. Similarly for illuminating this entire universe, there is
that essential Consciousness. Just like the Sun illumes all,
similarly for all fields the illuminator is the "knower of the
field". All you have to know is that He (Supreme Consciousness) is
the illuminator of all. Whatever you may do, but that illumination
is there as IS. In this hall if some one comes and some one goes
away, if entire hall is completely filled up, then too, there will be
no change in the light. Even if it is completely empty, then too
there is no change in the light. That light (illumination) remains
as IS. Similiarly the illuminator of this entire Universe, remains
as IS. If the world does all kinds of activity or it does not. In
the day time all work gets done and at night all are sleeping and
resting, then too there is no difference in the
> illumination, and that light continues to illume the entire
Universe. It illumes the field and the knower of the field. It does
not create the light. When the Sun arrives, there is automatically
light. Sun is not generating any light, it has the natural tendency
and strength to illume. Similarly that Supreme Consciousness remains
as IS, at all times and eternally, and activities that takes place,
all take place in nature. It is that Supreme Consciousness that
illuminates all. And that illumination simply happens.
> Our essential state is naturally in that light (consciousness).
All beings are naturally established in that consciousness. But
instead we begin to consider the one that is being illumed as real.
We gave it (the one being illumed) a reality and we gave it
importance. This is the reason for bondage. The existence and
importance of the reality of all beings in nature has been given by
us. Therefore it is up to us to remove it. This has not been given
by God. It has been created by us.
> God's consciousness is equally present everywhere. This is a
simple and straightforward point. All fields are being illumed and
all that is illumed, we have given it a reality and importance, even
though in reality this illumination is not it's own. "Nasoto
vidhyate bhavah" "The unreal has no existence." (Gita 2:16). It
never was, it will not remain afterwards and it is changing every
moment. At first, there was non-existence of the world (before
creation), then later, there will be non-existence of the world
(after destruction), and while it appears to be existing right now,
it too is constantly changing. It does not have an existence of it's
own. It is the existence of the illuminator that is giving it a
feeling of existence. That is all there is to it.
> God (Supreme Consciousness) is the illuminator of all. This is
the simple straight forward point. Only that consciousness IS. IT
is not the giver of the reality to all, IT is not the creator of
existence of all, IT simple IS. When one realizes the existence of
that one and only Supreme Consciousness, then one realizes that there
is only God. Not "All is God" "Vasudeva Sarvam" but only
God "Vasudeva" (Supreme Consciousness) .

The Myths of The British Colonial Legacy

May 22, 2008: HPI note: We encountered this website while researching Indian history. It is quite an eye-opener on just how badly India fared under British rule. We include here the introduction and just two of a long list of areas where few Indians understand the truth of what actually happened under the Raj.

While few educated South Asians would deny that British Colonial rule was detrimental to the interests of the common people of the sub-continent - several harbor an illusion that the British weren’t all bad. Didn’t they, perhaps, educate us - build us modern cities, build us irrigation canals - protect our ancient monuments - etc. etc. And then, there are some who might even say that their record was actually superior to that of independent India’s! Perhaps, it is time that the colonial record be retrieved from the archives and re-examined - so that those of us who weren’t alive during the freedom movement can learn to distinguish between the myths and the reality.

Literacy and Education

Several Indians are deeply concerned about why literacy rates in India are still so low. So in the last year, I have been making a point of asking English-speaking Indians to guess what India’s literacy rate in the colonial period might have been. These were Indians who went to school in the sixties and seventies (only two decades after independence) - and I was amazed to hear their fairly confident guesses. Most guessed the number to be between 30% and 40%. When I suggested that their guess was on the high side - they offered 25% to 35%. No one was prepared to believe that literacy in British India in 1911 was only 6%, in 1931 it was 8%, and by 1947 it had crawled to 11%! That fifty years of freedom had allowed the nation to quintuple it’s literacy rate was something that almost seemed unfathomable to them. Perhaps - the British had concentrated on higher education ….? But in 1935, only 4 in 10,000 were enrolled in universities or higher educational institutes. In a nation of then over 350 million people only 16,000 books (no circulation figures) were published in that year (i.e. 1 per 20,000).

Unfair Trade

Few would doubt that Indo-British trade may have been unfair - but it may be noteworthy to see how unfair. In the early 1800s imports of Indian cotton and silk goods faced duties of 70-80%. British imports faced duties of 2-4%! As a result, British imports of cotton manufactures into India increased by a factor of 50, and Indian exports dropped to one-fourth! A similiar trend was noted in silk goods, woollens, iron, pottery, glassware and paper. As a result, millions of ruined artisans and craftsmen, spinners, weavers, potters, smelters and smiths were rendered jobless and had to become landless agricultural workers.

Ultimately home minister Mr. Shiv Raj Patil has expressed UPA’s heart by telling that Afzal & Sarabjit Singh are similar cases. The statement that the two cases require consideration on the similar formats is a dangerous attitude as spoken by the minister. In case, the inclemency of incorrectly convicted Sarabjit is demanded, the inclemency of Afzal too shall be required to be granted by the Government.

The people know the internal mental development of UPA since beginning. Actually, the UPA & allied intend to release Afzal by swapping Sarabjeet as was offered by the Pakistan government in the past when Afzal was demanded by Pakistan in exchange of Sarabjeet. The best decision for the Bharat government is to decide the pending inclemency petition so that the Bharat people know about the mindset of the government.

The UPA intend to get credit of both the prisoners as Hindus shall favour for the release of Sarabjeet & Muslims for release of Afzal at least. The UPA should not delay the pending petition. They should speak explicitly to let the people know about their internal expressions. The people cannot be held now just for waiting for a final decision. The mountains or the sky shall not fall if Afzal is granted the petition but definitely a message would go the world public that the UPA is having a definite soft corner for the terrorists. The government should understand that the majority of the Bharat public has now realized that the Congress & UPA are too soft while dealing with the terrorists as well as illegal Bangla Desh citizens residing in Bharat with duly issued voter cards & ration cards for the sake of crores of votes. Therefore, the government should take a quick decision.

Even if the decision is not taken, the environment has already been created announcing that UPA & Congress are pro Muslims & against Hindus by virtue of their practical characters. Congress & UPA cannot digest the Hindus but others for the survival purpose.

Who owns the anti –Hindu media in Bhaarat ?
On 5/8/08, Sanjay Anand wrote:

Recent Gujarat election have witnessed unaccountable money paid to media persons of both, print and electronic by Saudi Arabia to discredit Modi and the Hindutva forces, which Media did very faithfully without success.

There are several major publishing groups in India, the most prominent among them being the Times of India Group, the Indian Express Group, the Hindustan Times Group, The Hindu group, the Anandabazar Patrika Group, the Eenadu
Group, the Malayalam Manorama Group, the Mathrubhumi group, the Sahara group, the Bhaskar group, and the Dainik Jagran group. Let us see the ownership of different media agencies.

NDTV: A very popular TV news media is funded by Gospels of Charity in Spain Supports Communism. Recently it has developed a soft corner towards Pakistan because Pakistan President has allowed only this channel to be aired in
Pakistan. Indian CEO Prannoy Roy is co-brother of Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist party of India. His wife and Brinda Karat are sisters.

India Today which used to be the only national weekly which supported BJP is now bought by NDTV!! Since then the tone has changed drastically and turned into Hindu bashing.

CNN-IBN: This is 100 percent funded by Southern Baptist Church with its branches in all over the world with HQ in US. The Church annually allocates $800 million for promotion of its channel. Its Indian head is Rajdeep Sardesai and his wife Sagarika Ghosh.
Times group list:
Times Of India, Mid-Day, Nav-Bharth Times, Stardust, Femina, Vijay Times, Vijaya Karnataka, Times now (24- hour news channel) and many more... Times Group is owned by Bennet & Coleman. 'World Christian Council does 80
percent of the Funding, and an Englishman and an Italian equally share balance 20 percent. The Italian Robertio Mindo is a close relative of Sonia Gandhi.

Star TV: It is run by an Australian, who is supported by St. Peters Pontifical Church Melbourne.

Hindustan Times: Owned by Birla Group, but hands have changed since Shobana Bhartiya took over. Presently it is working in Collaboration with Times Group.
The Hindu: English daily, started over 125 years has been recently taken over by Joshua Society, Berne, Switzerland. N. Ram's wife is a Swiss national.
Indian Express: Divided into two groups. The Indian Express and new Indian Express (southern edition) ACTS Christian Ministries have major stake in the Indian Express and latter is still with the Indian counterpart.
Eeenadu: Still to date controlled by an Indian named Ramoji Rao.
Ramoji Rao is connected with film industry and owns a huge studio in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Jyothi: The Muslim party of Hyderabad known as MIM along with a Congress Minister has purchased this Telugu daily very recently.
The Statesman: It is controlled by Communist Party of India.
Kairali TV: It is controlled by Communist party of India (Marxist)
Mathrubhoomi: Leaders of Muslim League and Communist leaders have major investment.
Asian Age and Deccan Chronicle: Is owned by a Saudi Arabian Company with its chief Editor M.J. Akbar.

Gujarat riots which took place in 2002 where Hindus were burnt alive, Rajdeep Sardesai and Bharkha Dutt working for NDTV at that time got around 5 Million Dollars from Saudi Arabia to cover only Muslim victims, which they did very faithfully. Not a single Hindu family was interviewed or shown on TV whose near and dear ones had been burnt alive, it is
Tarun Tejpal of < regularly gets blank cheques from Arab countries to target BJP and Hindus only, it is said.
The ownership explains the control of media in India by foreigners. The result is obvious.

Asking various (psec) media houses to behave is not going to work. Nor is petitioning the press council. Such actions may at best have some symbolic value. We must hurt the psecs where it hurts, i.e., the wallets of businessmen and vote-banks of politicians. For this, propaganda is a must.

The Christists have their media (newspapers, TV Channels) and convent schools. The Islamists have their madrasas. Their propaganda is effective, and politicians tremble before them. We have nothing.

Whoever organized the Oct 2 anti-Maino protests and the NYT ad is a genius. For the first time, the opposition is crying. That is exactly what is needed. We should act, and let the anti-Hindu forces react. It should not be the other way around.

Hindus need more writers / columnists on our side. One Rajeev Sreenivasan or Radha Rajan or Sandhya Jain is not enough. Why don't more people here start publishing articles? National newspaper, Internet, blogs, local newspaper, anything is fine. People should do something other than just passing messages amongst themselves.

Start small. Bring down one psec organization like AID-Asha, that itself would be a huge achievement. Stand outside their fund-raisers and pass out protest flyers, complain to the State Dept, tell everybody about their real (Commie) nature, do anything.

Anti - Media ownership problem, needs to become the number 1, issue for the Hindus to tackle as a whole.

Without Media presence and the ability to reach our 100's of millions of Hindus, consistently and countering the message of the 'propagandists', our efforts of resistance are doomed.

donkey jailed for bad behaviour

Donkey jailed for ornery behaviour in Mexico
Wednesday, 21 May , 2008, 01:05
Tuxtla Gutierrez: A donkey is doing time in southern Mexico for assault and battery.

The animal was locked up at a local jail that normally holds people for public drunkenness and other disturbances after it bit and kicked two men near a ranch in Chiapas state, police said.

Officer Sinar Gomez said the donkey would remain behind bars until its owner agreed to pay the men's medical bills.

"Around here, if someone commits a crime they are jailed," Gomez said — "no matter who they are."

The owner, Mauro Gutierrez, said he would try to reach a friendly arrangement to pay the men's bills, estimated at US$420 (euro270).

The victims said the donkey bit Genaro Vazquez, 63, in the chest on Sunday and then kicked 52-year-old Andres Hernandez as he tried to come to the rescue, fracturing his ankle.

"All of a sudden, the animal was on top of us like it was rabid," Hernandez said.

Police said it took a half-dozen men to control the enraged burro.

Chiapas police have thrown animals in the slammer before, including a bull that devoured corn crops and destroyed two wooden vending stands in March.

In 2006, a dog was locked up for 12 days after biting someone. His owners were fined US$18.

Bush mulling attack on Iran: Report
Wednesday, 21 May , 2008, 02:34
Jerusalem: US President George W Bush is mulling an attack on Iran before the end of his term next year to "foil" its nuclear ambitions and counter Hezbollah's domination in Lebanon, a media report has said.

However, the "hesitancy" of Defence Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was preventing the administration from deciding to launch an attack on the Islamic Republic, the 'Army Radio' reported quoting officials in Jerusalem.

A senior member of Bush's entourage, during a recent visit to Israel, said at a closed-door meeting that the US President and Vice-President Dick Cheney were of the opinion that military action was called for.

As per Israeli assessments, recent turmoil in Lebanon where Hezbollah has established de facto control with Iran's help was advancing an American attack, the report said.

Bush is said to be of the opinion that Hezbollah's show of strength was evidence of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's growing influence.

d fifth non divine profession of avarnas, vritras, kimidin), Vedic education system etc; kindly see Glimpses of Vedic Metaphysics for on line reading/taking print on Website Kindly also forward this to other seekers of Vedic knowledge’

With kind regards,

Prem Sabhlok

What Vedas say about DEATH of the human body?
Human body is mentioned in VEDAS as tri-ani pada (three bodies in one)- divine, spiritual and gross. Atma (soul)- the omniscient principle resides in divine body, spirit (JIVA)- the energy principle resides in spiritual body along with ten Pranas (vital breaths/Asu), Vivek (discernment) Buddhi (intellect). According to Rig Veda 1-2-7 Pranas/Asu is the great devourer of diseases.
Billions of cells along with senses/sense organs and etani -outward looking mind reside in our gross body. Atma (soul) is not affected by MAYA the cosmic delusion. Since Maya hides the Truth and Reality with its Golden Lid, and this dazzling golden disc (extreme Materialism) affects senses/sense organs/etani, so the existing of Soul as Reality remains hidden from the senses.
Beneficent spirit is provided to us to perform our right deeds. Good thoughts relate to the soul. Thus, human mind is completely joined with soul and spirit but under the influence of senses, phenomenal world of matter it is de-linked from these divine inner instruments and is badly entangled with matter, lust, greed infatuation and attachment. One of the purposes of human birth is mentioned “realisation of one’s Real Self”. For Self Realisation Vedas prescribe “Follow RTA (cosmic laws) which having been created even God follows sternly.” By following Rta and Dharma, one can realise the Real Self in one birth.

What happens at the time of Death of the gross body? Vedic description.

At the time of death of the gross body, cells merge with the earth, spirit merges with the divine Nature (Prakrti), the soul being immortal remains alive, and hence consciousness remains. Based on degree of truth, quality of Karma (good or bad deeds), acquired in the present and previous births as individual's running ledger account, it gets manifested again on the birth of another gross body. This process of birth and rebirth continues until, the soul achieves perfection, is released from the three modes of Prakrti and moves beyond three gunas of transparency, activity and passivity. It is the stage of salvation, liberation i.e. Vedic Moksha.

Rig Veda 1-164-20, 10-9-20, 10-8-43 and 44 describe three divine substances, Parmatma (Supreme Soul), Atma (human soul) and the divine Nature. On the “Death” of human beings, spirit goes back to Prakrti and merges with the Nature as part of the vast storehouse of energy. The soul does not go back to Parmatma who is the Supreme Soul as it gets affected with subtle atoms and particles of human good and bad deeds, thoughts and desires.
Vedic metaphysics is emphatic that owing to the prevalence of the spirit of God in all human beings, any distinction of class superiority or inferiority is negation of religion and ethics.
Soul is dynamic but not moving when manifested, but moves faster than all material things when not manifested. It traverses billions of miles when it goes to devas (beings of light as forces of divine Nature) viz. Suriya (Sun), Chandrama (Moon), Indra, , Mitra, Varun, Yama etc., during the 12 days journey after the death of gross body for purification, knowledge, luster, noble and divine traits, which it lost during the stage of manifestation in the body. (Yajur Veda 39-6). However, the effects of Karma remain intact. It becomes fierce, calm, terrible, fearless, ignorant, enlightened, passionate or ascetic dependent on the past deeds, desires and thoughts (Y.V.39-7). In the womb it becomes lovely through various virtuous deeds, chastise able through ignoble deeds, supreme through divine knowledge, noble through spiritual force and protector of all bodily organs and the pericardium enclosing the heart. It is for this reason that most of the scriptures mention the soul dwelling in the heart of all individuals. Apart from Vedas, Bhagavad-Gita, Adi Grantha Gaund M-5 and Katha Upanishad 1-2-20 to 22 also mention the soul residing in the heart.

After its 12 days journey, it is well equipped with Vedic knowledge, a-priori principles and cosmic laws of social and moral order (Rta). Thus on the birth of a child, the knowledge of four Vedas is made available through the manifested soul which is part of the inner world.
Thus consciousness is the real cause of transmigration of soul from one body to another. Brihadarnyaka Upanishad 4-3-34 and 4-4-4 explains the rebirth as a man passes from dream to wakefulness, so does from this life to next life. At old age or during the stage of degeneration even during young age, the self separates from the limbs like ripe mango, fig or banayan fruit separates itself from the trunk. The same way the self hastens to his new abode based on past karma and begins a new life in a new body. The "self" i.e. atma departs through eye, or gate of the skull or some other apertures of the body. The deeds of the entire life and the impressions those deeds created to the manifested soul before leaving the body follows the individual in the next birth.

Even those souls which have achieved Moksha and have become one with God also take birth after centuries to guide the harassed humanity. Some time they take birth through divine potency like Lord Krishna or Lord Rama and most often as human beings with normal birth like Buddha, Mahavira, Socrates, Sankracharya and many others.

From the above description, it is apparent that true followers of Vedic guidelines observe Prayer Meetings of the departed souls on the 13th day of the death as the departed soul completes its journey for purification on the 12th day.

As this column gets read by millions everyday, through newspapers or through the net, sometimes I quite often dread reading the response from readers, some of them quite nasty.

A simple ‘unsubscribe’ is all that is needed, but quite often unparliamentary words hit my Inbox, one such from the partner of a small publishing house in India who thinking he was speaking anonymously waxed eloquent in language not befitting his profession.

“People abuse you on email, thinking you can’t find out!” said a journalist friend of mine as we sat at the press club and to whom I showed the publishers response, “but I’ll tell you a story, it’s called the Law of the Garbage Truck!”

“One day,” said the journalist, “I hopped in a taxi and took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!”

“The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly!”

“So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you!”

“Don't take it personally Bob!”

“Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

“But the bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.”

So if you run into somebody nasty today.

Don’t let him spoil or ruin your day.

Smile as he yells and smile as he shouts

It’s not you that he’s yelling or grouchy about

He’s a truck full of garbage that’s running around

Looking for bin, dump or other available ground.

So by smiling, ignoring and letting him go

You’re lovingly, graciously letting him know
There’s no place for his garbage; ‘Please go sir, please go..!”BOB

When other beings, especially those who hold a grudge against you, abuse and harm you out of envy, you should not abandon them, but hold them as objects of your greatest compassion and take care of them.

-His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Know your blood pressure numbers

Blood Pressure Image

Blood Pressure Image You should have your blood pressure checked each time you go to see your doctor. Be sure to write down your blood pressure numbers so you can keep track. High blood pressure usually does not have symptoms. The only way to know your blood pressure is to have it checked.

Blood pressure is written as two numbers. The higher number is the pressure while the heart is beating. The lower number is the pressure when the heart is resting. Normal blood pressure for most people is less than 120 over 80 (120/80).

What you can do to keep your blood pressure normal:

* Lose weight, if you are overweight. If you lose just 10 percent of your body weight, it is enough to make a difference in blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
* Eat foods low in saturated fat and salt. Saturated fats are found in meats, egg yolks and whole milk.
* Exercise. Walk, ride a bike or do other types of exercise for at least 30 minutes on most days.
* Quit smoking, if you smoke.
* Lower stress, if you are stressed.

An Unexpected Delay

Mullah Nasruddin had saved up to buy a new shirt. He went to a tailor's shop, full of excitement. The tailor measured him and said, "Come back in a week, and--if Allah wills--your shirt will be ready."

The Mullah contained himself for a week and then went back to the shop. "There has been a delay. But--if Allah wills--your shirt will be ready tomorrow."The following day Nasruddin returned. "I am sorry," said the tailor, "but it is not quite finished. Try tomorrow, and--if Allah wills--it will be ready."

"How long will it take," asked the exasperated Nasruddin, "if you leave Allah out of it?"

Brothers of a Different God..! PDF Print E-mail
User Rating: / 1
Just over a year ago as two of the richest brothers in India fought like wild cats with every one of us having a ringside view, I wondered what kind of message was being sent to the youth in our country, and to those same youngsters and others so sadly misled do I have a story:

Once upon a time, two brothers, one a bachelor, the other married, owned a farm whose fertile soil yielded an abundance of grain. Half the grain went to one brother and half to the other.

All went well at first!

‘Aha!’ I hear you say, ‘here comes greed…’

All went well at first. Then every now and then the married brother began to wake with a start from his sleep at night and think: “This isn’t fair. My brother isn’t married and he gets half the produce of the farm. Here I am with a wife and five kids, so I have all the security I need for my old age. But who will care for my poor brother when he gets old?”

“He needs to save much more for his future than he does at present, so his need is obviously greater than mine”

With that he got out of his bed and began stealing over to his brother’s place and started pouring a sackful of grain into his brother’s granary.

The bachelor brother started getting thoughts too.

Every once in a while he would also wake up from his sleep and say to himself: “This simply isn’t fair. My brother has a wife and five kids and he gets half the produce of the land. I have no one except myself to support, so it is right that my poor brother whose need is obviously greater than mine, should receive more than I do!”

This brother also started getting out of bed and started pouring a sackful of grain into his brother’s granary.

This went on for years.

One day they bumped into each other as they were journeying to the other’s granary with the sack of grain on their backs!

Many years later the story leaked out, so when the villagers built a temple they chose the same spot the two brothers met, for they could think of no other spot holier than that one!

What a lovely story isn’t it?

That's the unselfish love we need to nurture with our siblings, not the greed that our two so called successful businessmen brothers are showing so unashamedly to the world.
I daresay, no temple will ever be built in their memory, being brothers of a different god; money..!

The Smallest Caregiver
She may not have been a nurse, but Hannah found her own special way to be a caregiver.
By Karen Kosman

Our granddaughter Hannah had appointed herself Grandpa John's helper. She was too young to understand the meaning of "caregiver," but we all watched with astonishment as her heart led her to say and do things that brought comfort and hope.

We'd just returned home from an appointment with John's orthopedic surgeon. Our daughter Cathy's blue van pulled up to the curb, and moments later our vivacious, four-year-old granddaughter, Hannah, ran toward us.

"Hi!" she called out. "Grandpa, is your knee all better?"

"Not yet, Hannah. My doctor has to put me in the hospital. Then he'll make my knee like new."

Suddenly, John winced and moaned with pain. A look of compassion crossed Hannah's face.

"Grandpa, take my hand, and your knee will feel better." John grinned for the first time all morning. "You know, I think you're right, Hannah."

Her sparkling blue eyes looked up at her granddad reassuringly as she placed her hand in his. The two of them headed for the house, her strawberry blond ponytail bouncing back and forth. Cathy and I both chuckled at the sight.

Once we were all in the house, Hannah followed me out to the kitchen and watched as I took an icepack out of the freezer. She’d seen me do this several times before.

"Grandma, can I put ice on Grandpa's knee?"

"Of course, Hannah," I replied. Her face glowed with anticipation as I handed her the icepack and paper towel.

Moments later I felt elated about the conversation I'd overheard.

"Grandpa, this will make your knee feel better. There, now can I sit on your good knee?"

I walked into the living room to find them snuggling closely together, happily reading a story.

Hannah pointed to a bike in the picture book and said, "Grandpa, if you do what the doctor tells you, you'll be able to ride your bike again."

"You know, I think you're right, Hannah."

Over the next three weeks, John had to endure the drudgery of preoperative tests.

During that time his anxiety level climbed. His hazel eyes, dulled by pain, lost their luster. Even his normally healthy bronze complexion turned a grayish color.

Finally, the day before surgery, John announced, "I just want this all behind me. Whatever it takes to feel normal again—bring on the surgery!" Even as he made this announcement, I heard an underscore of worry in his voice.

Later that afternoon, Hannah brought her coloring books over and sat down at the dining room table. "I'm going to color a picture," she announced. "Grandpa, what’s your favorite color?"

"Red," John replied. Once again I watched as the two of them energetically worked on Hannah's art project.

"Grandpa," she said, placing her prize picture in her grandpa's lap, "I want you to have this picture so you won’t be afraid when you get your knee fixed."

No one had ever mentioned Grandpa's being afraid. Yet Hannah's sensitive heart seemed to understand.

The night before John's surgery, Hannah came to visit. "Grandpa, Mommy said I could come see you in the hospital."

"Hannah, that makes me happy," John replied as he hugged her.

Early the next morning on our drive to the hospital, I notice a remarkable change in John's physical and emotional state of being. He looked peaceful and sounded confident. "Karen," he said, laughing, "with my new knee you won't be able to keep up with me."

"I'm glad you're so happy!"

"Thanks to my littlest angel, Hannah," John exclaimed. "Her compassion and her childlike faith and trust have been a light shining on my doubt."

I, too, felt confident. John entered the hospital smiling and making others smile. I was allowed to sit by his bedside until they took him into surgery.

A few hours later I sighed with relief as Dr. Jamison entered the waiting room and said, "John's surgery went well. He'll be in recovery for a while."

The next day Hannah and Cathy came to visit. John, heavily medicated, slept unaware of their presence. My granddaughter's eyes widened with curiosity as she looked at the IV and all the tubes hooked to her grandpa. With one hand on her hip and a little stuffed bunny under her other arm, she asked in bewilderment, "How am I supposed to get to Grandpa with all that stuff around him?"

"Grandma," she finally said, "please put this bunny in bed with Grandpa. It's my gift. I want him to know I was here.” Then she blew him a kiss. Placing a brownie covered with splashes of colored candies in my hand, she whispered, "This is for Grandpa, too."

The bunny snuggled almost protectively against John's arm. Later he woke and immediately acknowledged the presence of his furry companion.

"Hannah's been here."

"Yes, your little angel has been here."

"Karen, Hannah has been good medicine for this old grandpa."

The day John came home, Hannah continued her role as nurse. "Grandpa, did you like your brownie?"

"What brownie?"

Hannah looked at me sternly.

"Your brownie is in the refrigerator," I replied. A few minutes later I gave him his treat, smashed and stale. John ate it anyway.

"Best brownie I ever ate," he announced. Hannah giggled.

Three years later, the bunny still has a place of honor in a basket next to John’s recliner. Daily the little brown bunny acts as a reminder of our granddaughter's love. Hannah also maintains a place of honor...on her grandpa's new knee.

Hannah may be the smallest caregiver, but it’s the heart that counts—and Hannah’s compassionate heart is huge.

100 Million Lawsuit against Hindu leaders

New York based Indian National Overseas Congress Inc. (INOC) has filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York for $100 million against three prominent Hindu activists Narain Kataria, Arish Sahani and Bharat Barai for allegedly defaming UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi by releasing a full page advertisement in The New York Times on Saturday of October 6, 2007during her October visit to the US.
INOC’s complaint states that the “advertisement contained false statements regarding the professional activities of Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Chairwoman of the Indian National Congress Party, and her son, Mr. Rahul Gandhi” and “direct accusations of misconduct against the Indian National Congress Party itself.” INOC claims that these statements defamed it.

The plaintiff Dr. Surinder Malhotra, Chief Executive Officer of INOC states in the complaint in New York Supreme court that false statements have been made in the advertisement about his boss Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi in The New York Times on Oct 6. INOC has hired a law firm which had represented Ariel Sharon of Israel against Time magazine.

To fight this lawsuit, Narain Kataria and Arish Sahani have retained the law firm of Kornstein Veisz Wexler & Pollard, L.L.P which is known for excellence and caliber to represent them. Bharat Barai has claimed that he is not involved in anyway with the advertisement and is independently pursuing against the lawsuit.

One of the defendants Dr Bharat Barai has decided to counter defamation suit against the Indian National Overseas Congress for adding his name. He says he has nothing to do with the advertisement nor he had designed and paid for it and termed it as frivolous. His name does not figure in the list of contacts given in the advertisement.

"It is unfortunate that Malhotra and Sonia coterie do not recognize that the freedom of expression is the First Amendment right of every US citizen. What could be the motive behind this lawsuit? All the material in the advertisement is available in public domain and has been published in several media for long time. It is incomprehensible as to why this lawsuit has been filed on frivolous grounds," says Hindu leaders who have rallied behind the three. Kataria and Sahani are also leaders of Overseas Friends of Bharatiya Janata Party in the US besides running Indian American Intellectuals Forum. They also founded Forum for Saving Gandhi's Heritage before the arrival of Sonia Gandhi to United Nations last year.

Says a prominent Hindu leader of New York, "this lawsuit is not just against a few individuals, but against the entire NRI community. The sinister motive behind the lawsuit is to demoralize Hindu leaders in this country, gag their voice, make them financially bankrupt, harass them and frighten them into submission. One more reason for this insidious attempt could be to muzzle the dissenting voices against Sonia dynasty outside India where freedom of expression is guaranteed under Constitution."

Narain Kataria and Arish Sahani have been fighting for Hindu causes for decades and say that they will not succumb to such pressure tactics. Narain Kataria, a man of indomitable spirit, unshakeable courage and resolute determination is retired and 78-years-old, said that he would pursue this case even if he has to withdraw from his Pension funds.
The motive is to put down Kataria and others who are raising their voice against Hindus. In recent years, Kataria has emerged as the most prominent Hindu leader in North America by organizing protest rallies against Sonia Gandhi in front of United Nations, MF Hussain for depicting Hindu gods in nude and has been a champion fighting the oppression of Hindus.

Kataria and Sahani are receiving support from UK, Europe, Middle East and African nations. Friends of Hindu leaders have formed a committee to collect donations and have set up a fund to fight the case. Checks can be sent payable to 'Hindu Support Fund' to Narain Kataria,. The fund will be managed by community leaders and will be independently audited.

It is hard to believe in India after 200 years of fight against supremacy of white skin there are people like Dr Malhotra still gullible and attracted to white skin. Hasn't he realized compared to leaders like Bajpai this Sonia Gandhi an illiterate and uncultured (even by Italian standards) is nothing? I don't know what kind of doctor Malhotra is, he is certainly not doing any justice to his qualification or training. Medical doctors' position in Indian society is a curse as it still treats them like Gods. If he is a medical doctor he should know better all women, despite their skin color, in the world are same except their intelligence? And tin-pot Malhotra is prepared to equate Sonis's with giants like Indira Gandhi and even his own good wife.

It is about time Indians realize Sonia Gandhi is a 'plant' by European Christian politics whose aim is to expand Christianity in India. From Hindu religious beliefs Christianity is not a religion in true sense but a disguised politics of power. These people will kill murder and annihilate any existing community to further their fanatical goals. If put to hard challenge, my experience shows, even the Priests of this religion do not know who is its God and where lives. People like Dr Malhotra should think (unless of course they have ponned their own intelligence) before supporting Sonia Gandhi and other Westernized idiots.

Dr. Babu Suseelan

Babu Suseelan

Hinduism is the central part of India civilization. Yet, since independence, Hindu culture, values, and spiritual practices had been ignored, neglected, or disparaged by the ruling Congress Party. It seems that that few Congress Party politicians understand the importance of Hindu culture, its eclectic philosophy and all inclusive nature. Without Hinduism there can be no freedom, pluralism, secularism, harmony and coexistence.

How could the Congress Party has been successful in deceiving the general public for long with its bogus secularism, Islamic appeasement and corruption? The Congress Party has failed miserably to defending our borders, Hindus, Hindu culture, or to do anything more than protecting their own narrow political interests. As a party, the Congress has reduced its mind and heart to the level of intellectual and moral bankruptcy, outright dishonesty, corruption, ineptitude, nepotism, and inefficiency. These immoral practices have become the fallback mode of the Congress leaders. In the name of pseudo secularism, Congress moral relativists, atheists, and agnostics want to appease Muslims and want to overturn traditional Hindu culture and moral values.

Now the Congress Party headed by the Italian Catholic Sonia is devising new cunning schemes to restrict our liberties. For several years, Hindu organizations around the world had exposed Congress leaders despicable behavior and corrupt practices.

For the last few years, Indian American Intellectual Forum in New York is in forefront in exposing corrupt and immoral practices of the Congress Party and its Italian catholic leader Sonia. Narain Ktaria, Arish Sahani and Indian American Intellectual Forum members have expressed concerns about Jihadi terrorism, Sonia’s deceptive statements about her background including her education and corrupt practices of the Congress Party. Indian American Intellectual Forum and its leaders have been trying to inform Hindus on the corrosive, violent, and immoral effect of the Congress Party. The public is aware Indian American Intellectual Forum is one of the most important organizations devoted solely to finding and amplifying sane and progressive voices. The Congress Party leaders are offended by Indian American Intellectual Forum and its leader’s claim to the moral high ground.

Now Sonia and her ilk have filed a law suit against Narain Kataria and Arish Sahani, leaders of Indian American Intellectual Forum. It is an act of cold blooded strategy to silence Hindus. It is directed not merely against Indian American Intellectual Form, Narain Kataria, and Arish Sahani but it is directed against all Hindus. It is a sinister strategy to silence, intimidate, threaten and coerce all Hindus around the world.

What is the lawsuit really about? It seems is intimidation--intimidation of anyone inclined to raise questions or express concerns about the Italian Catholic Sonia who head the Congress Party. It is meant to silence her critics. Faced with the cost and time of defending themselves, plus the emotional drain the threat of lawsuit poses, the intent is to make the defendant give up, shut up and go away.

With this lawsuit, Congress bullies actually think they can fool, frighten and intimidate Hindus around the world. What is more. This legal intimidation has galvanized Hindus around the world and they have determined with all its strength to stop Sonia’s plan to export the Congress culture sewage to the rest of the world. The lawsuit also exposes the intellectual and moral bankruptcy of the Congress Party headed by the Italian Catholic Sonia.

The Mule, the Monkey & The Man

God created the mule, and told him, "You are mule. You will work constantly from dusk to dawn, carrying heavy loads on your back. You will eat grass and lack intelligence. You will live for 50 years."

The mule answered, "To live like this for 50 years is too much. Please, give me no more than 20."

And it was so.

Then God created the dog, and told him, "You are dog. You will hold vigilance over the dwellings of Man, to whom you will be his greatest companion. You will eat his table scraps and live for 25 years."

The dog responded, "Lord, to live 25 years as a dog like that is too much. Please, no more than 10 years."

And it was so.

God then created the monkey, and told him, "You are monkey. You shall swing from tree to tree, acting like an idiot. You will be funny, and you shall live for 20 years."The monkey responded, "Lord, to live 20 years as the clown of the world is too much. Please, Lord, give me no than 10 years."

And it was so.

Finally, God created Man and told him, "You are Man, the only rational being that walks the earth. You will use your intelligence to have mastery over the creatures of the world. You will dominate the earth and live for 20 years."

The man responded, "Lord, to be Man for only 20 years is too little. Please, Lord; give me the 20 years the mule refused, the 15 years the dog refused, and the 10 years the monkey rejected."

And so God made Man to live 20 years as a man, then marry and live 20 years like a mule working and carrying heavy loads on his back. Then, he is to have children and live 15 years as a dog, guarding his house and eating the leftovers after they empty the pantry; then, in his old age, to live 10 years as a monkey, acting like an idiot to amuse his grandchildren.
And it is so ...

VHP-America condemns the gruesome, barbaric, terrorist attacks in Jaipur, on May 13, 2008.

On behalf of the Hindu American community of USA, Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) extends its deepest condolences and expresses its heartfelt sympathies to the friends and families of the victims of these cowardly, gruesome and mindless terror attacks in Jaipur, on Tuesday, May, 13, 2008. VHPA shares the distress and grief of the families of the departed souls and assures that Hindus of America stand united with their brothers and sisters in this time of grief and sorrow.

Several landmarks and temples in the 300 year old Pink City, Jaipur, were the main target of eight serial bomb blasts which blew up in the space of a few minutes, causing the death of over 70 innocent people and injuring scores. Among the killed were about a dozen women. It being Tuesday and Aarti (Prayer) time in these temples when the blasts occurred, the turnout in the temples was larger than usual. Director General of Police AS Gill said it was "obviously a terror attack", suspecting Bangladesh-based HuJI behind the attack.

VHP-America is saddened by the inability of the Government of India in protecting the places of worship, life and property of Hindus in the Indian sub-continent. VHP-America is deeply concerned at the systematic killing of Hindus and the Jehad against places of worship in the Indian subcontinent.

VHP-America condemns the Government of India for its continued failure in preventing such gruesome terror attacks. Its inability to apprehend and punish the perpetrators of terrorism and Islamic Jehad, their trainers, financers and the ones harboring these terrorists, in India, is inexcusable.

VHP-America strongly condemns this assault on human dignity perpetrated in India, by Radical Islamists and Islamic Jehadists supported by Islamic regimes.

This by no means is an isolated incident. It forms a part of a systematic game plan of Islamic-Jehadists, aided and abetted by India's neighboring countries to kill and maim Hindus in India and attack Hindus in their places of worship thereby causing chaos and disruption of the Hindu way of life. VHP-America urges the world community to act to ensure that these unprovoked, planned acts of violence against Hindus are stopped forthwith.

The pattern is evident from the list of terrorist attacks on Hindu Temples, and attacks during celebrations of Hindu festivals, amongst many recent terrorist attacks in India:
