FAILURE OF BRT SYSTEM IN DELHI

FAILURE OF BRT SYSTEM

Chief Minister of Delhi should be held responsible for total failure of dream-plan of Bus-Rapid-Transit (BRT) system in Delhi which has caused massive jams, fatalities and drainage of hard-earned money of tax-payers. Project was kept invested despite a vigilant media and public kept raising doubts over its successful implementation throughout its construction-period. Any claim about ‘improvement’ is false because most people have now taken infamous BRT-route as ‘unusable road’! It is quite usual that such imaginative projects are made just to benefit private individuals and bribing contractors, who are doubly benefited by being awarded contracts for dismantling after failure of such projects, like happened several times in Chandni Chowk where pillars were first erected to divert slow and fast moving traffic without caring for in-between obstructions like BSES sub-stations, and then uprooting these pillars because of practical difficulties not taken care of at time of installing costly pillars. A CBI enquiry is a must for implementation of a failed BRT system to expose corruption. Such wastage of public-funds by decision-takers on failed projects should be taken as criminal offence especially when eye-brows were being raised throughout its construction-period.
