Pak diplomat leaves India
New Delhi, Aug. 6 (PTI): Pakistani diplomat Syed Mohammed Rafeeq Ahmed, who was expelled by India, returned home today.

Ahmed, Counsellor (Political) at the Pakistan High Commission here, was declared person non granta on Saturday by India for his activities "incompatible with his diplomatic status", an euphemism for spying.

He was asked to leave India within 48 hours on Saturday. New Delhi's action came after Pakistan expelled Indian diplomat Deepak Kaul.

Kaul was handcuffed, blindfolded and detained for five hours at an unidentified place by Pakistani security agencies before being asked to leave the country by tomorrow.

He also returned to India today.
