DNA TEST FOR AP GOVERNOR?

It refers to suit filed by one Rohit Shekhar against Andhra Pradesh Governor claiming him to be born out of ND Tiwari and Ujjawala Singh, daughter of former Union Minister Shersingh. It may be recalled that during a non-Congress regime, even All India Radio broadcast ‘disappearance’ of ND Tiwari as its main item in its bulletins, supplemented by posters from rival political parties about his being with Ujjawala Singh during the period of ‘disappearance’. There is no harm if a DNA test may be carried out to clear the air. It will be in interest of ND Tiwari himself because a similar complaint against a prominent BJP leader of Delhi found the charge baseless when he himself volunteered for a DNA test.

It is an irony that while prominent personalities from like the then US President Bill Clinton and the then British Prime Minister Tony Blair confessed and regretted their relationship with other women, no Indian political leader has made such confessions even though Indian media may be aware of such immoral relationships. There seems to be a political consensus to avoid highlighting such relationships to enjoy women out of their political influence!
