HONESTY OF BANK MANAGER

HONESTY IN CENTRAL BANK

It was pleasant to note that the manager and the locker-officer at Central Bank of India (Chandni Chowk) Delhi branch exhibited perfect sense of duty and honesty when they tried and traced the customer who left jewellery worth millions in a small box in the locker-room of the bank after operating the locker. The bank-manager very humbly declined prize from the customer for any of the bank-employee because he considered and rightly too that it was duty of the bank-staff to work with honesty required essentially especially in banking-industry.

Central Bank management should take note of the episode by giving appreciation-letter to the concerned staff-members, and should publish the episode in their in-house magazine apart from bringing the exemplary incident to notice of Union Finance Ministry and Reserve Bank of India.
