MONARCHY RULED INDIAN DEMOCRACY

Honourable President of India should take note of anti-constitutional move of BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government for issuing notification dated 19.10.2006 acceding to request of one of its ministers (ex-royal) Yashodhara Raje Scindia to provide back her royal title of ‘Shrimant’ after 55 years of abolition of such royal titles from erstwhile monarchy rulers in Indian states. It is not surprising that even Congress in opposition preferred a silence on the issue because it is a well-known fact that ex-royals in all parties including BJP and Congress still like them to be called by their royal titles in day-to-day affairs. Anybody not calling these monarchy-turned-democratic rulers by their earlier royal titles is likely to be targeted for any such flaw. It is shameful to note that even now aged people touch feet of young ex-royals of age of their grand-children who are now democratic rulers in this ‘free’ nation.

Hiya

im a hardcore royalist and my blog is about royals around the world.

On this whole shrimant issue though, i feel yashodhara scindia acted like a fool. why do something so stupid. People anyways address royals by their titles and give them respect why force it?

She is really a silly woman.
