One of the comments on the Grand child poem

you will relate to this and enjoy reading this beautiful poem. These cherished moments shared with a growing grandchild are some of the sweetest memories of life. Kalidasa has sung of this divine joy of a grandfather playing with his grandchild in his Shakuntalam thru the mouth of King Dushyanta as follows:
Aalakshya dantamukulaan animitta-haasaih
Avyakta-varna-ramaneeya-vachah-pravrittim
Ankaashay-pranayitastanayaan vahanto
Dhanyaas-tadangarajasaa malino bhavanti.
[The sight of this child (Bharata, progeny of Dushyanta's amorous dalliance with Shakuntala), whose teeth shine brightly as mukula flowers as he smiles spontaneously without any particular reason, and as his lips flutter in unfathomable but still enchanting childish prattle, is indeed enviable. How I (Dushyanta) wish to take him in my lap and let my clothes enjoy the bliss of becoming soiled with the dirt stuck on his body (as he plays in my lap)!]
